Karibu Supplementary School

A Safe and Supportive Space for Learning and Growth
At Karibu, we provide a welcoming and safe environment where children can receive dedicated support with their schoolwork helping them build confidence, improve their academic performance, and reach their full potential.

But we don’t stop at homework help  we believe in nurturing the whole child. Our programme offers a wide range of stimulating and culturally enriching activities, designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and pride in heritage. Children can take part in:

  • African drumming and music

  • Cooking sessions with healthy, traditional recipes

  • Language learning, including Swahili and French

  • Arts and crafts that celebrate culture and self-expression

  • Games and group activities that build social skills and teamwork

Our activities are led by caring mentors, educators, and volunteers who understand the importance of cultural identity, educational support, and positive role models.

We aim to create a space where children not only learn but also feel seen, heard, and valued.

Cost: £30 per child, per term

"Karibu Supplementary School has helped me in so many ways,. especially with my maths. Before I joined, I was struggling, but their tutoring support helped me improve a lot. Now, I’m one of the top students in my class and have moved up into a higher maths set. I’ve passed all my tests, and I’m now studying at a level beyond most people my age. I’m really grateful to Karibu for their support."
