Our Events

We host cultural events that provide an environment for people of different ethnicities to come together and engage with and participate in each other’s cultures. These events also offer Karibu opportunities for consultation and feedback.

Karibu is proud of its working relationships with other organisations in and around Ipswich, including: Suffolk Refugee Support; Ladies of Vision; Community Action Suffolk; African History Collective; Sickle Cell Society and other Black Minority and Ethnic organisations.

Our Heritage

Thanks to National Heritage Lottery funding We recently held an African Cultural Heritage in the Local Community Exhibition at the Ipswich town library.

The exhibition consisted of a display of images and artefacts on the subject of British African Cultural Heritage.

The exhibition was developed in collaboration with the local community; and images of some of the artefacts are displayed in the gallery below.
