African Culture and Heritage Day

We received a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant for an exciting heritage project celebrating African History Month in Ipswich. The project focused on the history and culture of the local African community and enabled the local community to discover and explore the history and culture of Africa.

The events included a family learning festival, a gospel choir concert, a food festival and an exhibition of local African cultural artefacts.

The British African heritage that we are celebrating for African History Month is of great benefit to the local African community and also the local community in general.
